Company Ownership

The Company was established in 2007 by Johan van Zyl and the registration details are as follows: SunnySA (Pty) Ltd Reg. No. 2007/026737/07

History

In 1999 Johan did his Microsoft MCSE training and in 2000 moved to the UK for a period of five years. Whilst in the UK, Johan started thinking about a web site name for their own accommodation business. Thinking about South Africa and missing his family, Johan had a "Eureka" moment and thought about: Why not see if www.sunnysa.com is available.

Fortunately the name was not yet registered and Johan registered the above web site name as well as numerous other names associated with South Africa.

Upon his return to South Africa in 2004 he started doing web site development with Elite Villa Web Design for the local market. Johan's first project was a self-catering property site with three separate Units (www.sunnysa.com). Over the next four years a progression of sites was developed, cumulating in our site www.sunnysa.co.za, which is a multi property site with multiple availability calendars per property.

In 2007 the process was started to register a Company. Fortunately, the Company name "SunnySA" was still also available. After some delays Johan was fortunate enough to register SunnySA (Pty) Ltd.

There was also work done to develop a Logo. After many tries and different versions, a logo was developed that we believe, encompasses the idea of "Sunny South Africa"

The three most well known words and images representing and identifying South Africa were taken and combined in a very unique image that will act as the Company Logo.

The very well known words are: "SunnySA:" and the very well known image that immediately identifies South Africa is Table Mountain and the Sun.

This Logo is also now in process of being Trademarked. ( See below)
